We think that everyone should have a chance to look and feel good, so whether you have bought plated gold or solid gold, here’s how to keep it looking beautiful:

Solid metals

Whether sterling silver, 9kt or 18kt gold it’s a good idea to clean your jewellery on a weekly basis. It’s very easy and will take only 2 minutes! Use a cup of hot water with a dash of dish-washing liquid and an old toothbrush. Give your jewellery a soft brush with this weekly, rinse well and it will shine brighter for longer! You can also give it a gentle rub with a polishing cloth now and then for an extra shine.

Plated jewellery

Our plated jewellery needs a little extra care to keep it looking good.  It is solid sterling silver with a thin layer of gold plating on the surface. The plating will eventually wear off but how quickly will depend on how well you look after it.

Be careful not to get any skin and fragrance products like soaps, creams, perfumes etc in direct contact with your plated jewellery. Remove it to shower and apply your perfumes or creams a while before putting on your jewellery to allow it time to absorb into the skin first.
